Chakravarthi made his acting debut in 1990 with the Telugu film “Siva”, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He played the lead role in the film which became a blockbuster hit and gained him nationwide recognition. He then went on to act in several films such as “Money”, “Gulabi”, “Satya”, “Anaganaga Oka Roju” and “Ninne Pelladatha” among others.

Apart from acting, Chakravarthi has also directed and produced films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu film “Darling” in 2010, which was also produced by him. He has also directed and produced several other films such as “Homam”, “Mounaguru” and “Donga”. His work as an actor, writer and director has made him one of the most respected and admired personalities in the Telugu film industry.
